SIDEREAL CLOCKS - DISPLAY TEST KIT
==================================

Thank you for trying the clocks on your hardware.

WHAT IS IN HERE
crux.html The Crux Movement, the signature clock: the Southern
Cross as the fourth hand, everything turning clockwise.
northern.html The Northern Movement: its mirror for the northern sky,
turning anticlockwise around Polaris and the Big Dipper.
northern-clockwise.html The Northern Movement with ordinary clockwise hands.

Each file is the whole clock: one HTML file of about 150 KB, drawn as vector
graphics, so it is sharp at any resolution. It needs no internet connection
and no installation. It takes the time from the device clock and updates once
a second.

RUNNING IT
Any modern browser engine works (Chromium, Chrome, Android WebView, Edge,
  Safari/WebKit, Firefox).

Android player: copy a file to the device and open it in Chrome, or point a
                    kiosk browser app at it.
  Linux / Raspberry Pi:
                    chromium --kiosk --noerrdialogs "file:///path/to/crux.html"
  Windows: msedge --kiosk "file:///C:/path/to/crux.html" --edge-kiosk-type=fullscreen
  Online instead: https://www.siderealclocks.com/display/
(or add the file name, e.g. /display/crux.html)

Tap or click once to go full screen. The dial fills the shorter side of the
screen on a black surround, so it suits round panels and square panels
  behind a round mask.

OPTIONS (add to the end of the address)
?stats=1 Show a performance readout: real panel pixels, frame rate and the
              time each update takes.
?tz=10 Set the standard UTC offset in hours (e.g. 10, -5, 5.5). Use this
if the player is set to UTC. Daylight saving is ignored on
purpose: the clock keeps standard time all year, like the sky.
?inset=3 Leave a margin, in % of the screen, if a bezel covers the edge.
  ?size=400&x=0&y=0
Draw the dial at exactly 400 x 400 pixels with its top-left corner
at x, y. Use this for an LED screen whose controller shows a fixed
              area of the video output (e.g. a 1 m disc at P2.5 = 400 pixels).
  Combine them with &, e.g. crux.html?tz=10&stats=1

WHAT WOULD HELP US MOST
  - A photo or short video of the clock running on your panel.
  - The panel model, size, native resolution and the player or controller used.
  - A screenshot of the ?stats=1 readout after it has run for a while.
  - Anything that looked wrong.

Nothing is for sale yet. These faces and their designs are (c) Sidereal Clocks
and are shared for evaluation on your hardware. We would be glad to talk about
using them in your demonstrations.
