Sidereal Clocks ยท Wear OS
Hand of the Cross Privacy Policy
Hand of the Cross is a star clock for Wear OS watches, Android phones and tablets. One app from Google Play covers all three. On a watch it is a watch face that runs entirely on the watch. On a phone or tablet it opens the clock from siderealclocks.com full screen.
What Hand of the Cross collects
Nothing about you. On every device it has:
- no account or sign-in
- no advertising, analytics or crash reporting
- no permissions, including location
The watch face contains no program code and has no network access.
How it works
The star sky and the positions of the Sun, Moon and planets are calculated on the watch from the time and time zone your watch already provides to every watch face. That information never leaves your watch. Your Customize choices (hemisphere, mirrored Cross and daylight saving) are stored by Wear OS on the watch.
On a phone or tablet, the clock does the same calculations on your device. It downloads the clock's pages from siderealclocks.com when it first opens and when they change, and keeps a copy so it also works offline. Your settings (sky, reflection of the Cross, daylight saving and night dimming) are stored only on your device. The pages are shown by your device's browser, usually Google Chrome, under that browser's own privacy policy.
Like every website, siderealclocks.com is delivered by a hosting provider, Vercel, which handles each page request, including your device's IP address, to send the page back. We don't use that information to identify you, and we don't add any analytics or tracking to the clock.
Google Play
When you buy or install Hand of the Cross, Google processes the purchase and download under the Google Privacy Policy. We receive only the aggregated sales and installation statistics that Google Play Console gives every developer, which do not identify you.
Feedback you send us
If you choose to email us or complete a tester feedback form, we use what you send only to reply to you and to improve Hand of the Cross. We do not sell or share it.
Children
Hand of the Cross is not directed at children and collects no data about anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
